雄麝腺囊（在肚脐和生殖器之间）的分泌物，干燥后呈颗粒状或块状，有特殊的香气，有苦味，可以制香料，也可入药。简称麝。

1. 指麝。

   《后汉书·西南夷传·冉駹夷》：“又有五角羊、麝香、轻毛毼鸡、牲牲。” 唐 杜甫 《山寺》诗：“麝香眠石竹，鸚鵡啄金桃。” 唐 雍陶 《寄襄阳章孝标》诗：“闻説小斋多野意，枳华阴里麝香眠。”

2. 雄麝脐部香腺中的分泌物。干燥后呈颗粒状或块状，作香料或药用。

   唐 王建 《宫词》之十六：“总把金鞭骑御马，緑鬃红额麝香香。”《儿女英雄传》第三八回：“ 安老爷 但觉得一股子异香异气，又像生麝香味儿，又像松枝儿味儿。”
