证名。见《内经》五邪等篇。指气逆上壅的症候。多由外感六淫，痰气凝结，肺道壅塞所致。

1. 赌气。

   《金瓶梅词话》第六九回：“此已定是 西门官府 和 三官儿 上气。” 明 无名氏 《王兰卿》第二折：“﹝外云：﹞我在 青州 时，专一奉公守法，不敢半星儿负了朝廷委任，争奈与人上气，便是於世难合。”

2. 气喘。

   《周礼·天官·疾医》：“冬时有漱上气疾。” 郑玄 注：“上气，逆喘也。” 汉 张仲景 《金匮要略·肺痿肺痈咳嗽上气病》：“咳而上气，喉中水鸡声，射乾麻黄汤主之。” 宋 周密 《癸辛杂识别集·郭阊》：“夙有上气之疾，呕血而死。”
