一种求函数近似值的数值方法。若已知函数f(x)在n+1个点的值f(x璱)(i=0,1,2,…,n),要求作出适当的函数φ(x)逼近f(x),使得φ(x璱)=f(x璱),函数φ(x)称为ゝ(x)的插值函数”,x璱称为插值节点”。如果φ(x)为多项式,就称它为插值多项式”。插值法是函数逼近的重要方法,也是导出许多其他数值方法的出发点。
