有机化合物，分子式Ｃ１０Ｈ１７ＯＨ。龙脑树干析出的白色晶体，具有类似樟脑的香气。通常用化学方法合成。其右旋体在中医学上习称冰片。也可用于制樟脑的原料。

1. 亦作“ 龙瑙 ”。即龙脑香树。

   南朝 梁 任昉 《述异记》卷下：“ 成阳山 中有 神农 鞭药处，一名 神农原 药草山 ，山上 紫阳观 ，世传 神农 於此辨百药，中有千年龙脑。”参见“ 龙脑香树 ”。

2. 即龙脑香。用硝酸氧化时，变化为樟脑。医药上用做强心剂和清凉剂。

   唐 长孙佐辅 《古宫怨》诗：“看笼不记薰龙脑，咏扇空曾秃鼠鬚。”《敦煌曲子词·内家娇》：“浑身掛异种罗裳，更薰龙瑙香烟。”

3. 即龙脑菊。

   宋 刘蒙 《菊谱·龙脑》：“龙脑一名小银臺……香气芬烈，甚似龙脑。”参见“ 龙脑菊 ”。
