By the word of the Lord one of the sons of the prophets said to his companion, "Strike me with your weapon, " but the man refused.
有先知的一个门徒奉耶和华的命对他的同伴说：“你打我吧！”那人不肯打他。But in His prayer as High Priest, He gives larger place to the thought of His being in them, just as the Father was in Him.
然而，他以大祭司的身分祷告时，他比较强调他住在门徒里面，天父住在他里面。And He said to them , It will be one of the twelve , one who dips with Me in the dish .
耶稣对他们说，是十二个门徒同我蘸手在盘子里的那个人。So before their last meal together, He took off His outer garment, wrapped a towel around His waist, and began to wash His disciples' feet.
所以在最后晚餐之前，祂脱下外衣，拿一条手巾束腰，开始为门徒洗脚。He did not say anything to them without using a parable. But when he was alone with his own disciples, he explained everything.
若不用比喻，就不对他们讲，没有人的时候，就把一切的道讲给门徒听。One day he said to the Master, "When will I be ready to teach" ?
有一天，这个门徒对主说：“我什么时候才能开始教授别人呢？”So they decided to put a stop to this "unauthorized" ministry to protect Jesus' reputation.
于是，门徒决意要禁止这种「未经许可」的传道工作，以维护耶稣的声名。And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.
他又对门徒说，日子将到，你们巴不得看见人子的一个日子，却不得看见。And they understood none of these things, and this saying was hidden from them, and they did not know what was being said.
这些事门徒一样也不领悟，这话对他们是隐藏的，所说的事，他们都不晓得。
