针灸穴位名。位于上唇的鼻唇沟中央上三分之一处。主治癫痫、昏迷、中风、中暑、昏厥等。

1. 人群之中。

2. 人间。

   《百喻经·伎儿作乐喻》：“人中天上虽受少乐，亦无有实。”

3. 人的上唇正中凹下的部分。

   明 陶宗仪 《辍耕录·人中》：“ 钱唐 陈鑑如 ……因谓曰：脣之上何以谓之人中，若曰人身之中半，则当在脐腹间。盖自此而上，眼耳鼻皆双窍，自此而下，口暨二便皆单窍。” 朱自清 《择偶记》：“回来裁缝说人家看得很细：说我的‘人中’长，不是短寿的样子。”

4. 穴位名。位于上唇人中沟正中近上方处。为急救昏厥的要穴。

   元 无名氏 《谢金吾》第二折：“呀，叫一声 杨景 哥哥，直恁的叫不回他。我这里掐人中， 七娘子 揪头髮。”《醒世恒言·乔太守乱点鸳鸯谱》：“当下老夫妻手忙脚乱，掐住人中。”《红楼梦》第五七回：“﹝ 李嬷嬷 ﹞用手向他脉上摸了摸，嘴唇人中上着力掐了两下。”
