1.哲学范畴。是物质运动的特殊形式。事物处于不显著的量变或平衡状态。运动是绝对的、永恒的、无条件的，而静止则是相对的、暂时的、有条件的。物质由于有相对的静止状态，所以表现为各种不同的形态。

2.物理学上当一物体对于另一物体不发生相对运动时，称它们处于相对静止状态。
