汉语拼音：zhú zi

常绿植物，茎圆柱形，中空，有节，叶子有平行脉，嫩芽叫笋。种类很多，如毛竹、箭竹、湘妃竹。茎可供建筑和制器具用，笋可以吃。

1. 即竹。

   《乐府诗集·清商曲辞四·黄竹子歌》：“江边黄竹子，堪作女儿箱。”《二十年目睹之怪现状》第九回：“一面是画的几根淡墨水的竹子，竹树底下站着一个美人。” 沈从文 《边城》十三：“一个在山上竹篁里砍竹子，一个在溪面渡船上拉船。”参见“ 竹 ”。
