2. 指目前活着。

3. 现世，今生。

4. 眼前一刹那。与过去、未来相区别。后泛指此时、目前。

   《百喻经·病人食雉肉喻》：“外道等执於常见，便谓过去、未来、现在，唯是一识，无有迁谢。”《儒林外史》第三九回：“我虽年老，现在并无病痛。” 郭沫若 《地球，我的母亲》诗：“地球，我的母亲……我现在正在你背上匍行。”
