节肢动物。体粗壮，圆柱形而略扁平，长30厘米以上，色鲜艳，常有美丽斑纹。头胸甲坚硬多棘，两对触角很发达，腹部较短。栖息于海底，肉味鲜美，是名贵的经济虾类。

1. 亦作“ 龙鰕 ”。节肢动物，身长一尺左右，生活在海底，肉味鲜美。我国 南海 和 东海 南部都有出产。
