国家依法将土地等收归国有的强制措施。实行征用时，根据被征用者的具体情况国家给予适当补偿，对其生产和生活作妥善安置。

1. 征召任用。

   《史记·儒林传序》：“ 孝惠 、 吕后 时，公卿皆武力有功之臣。 孝文 时颇徵用，然 孝文帝 本好刑名之言。” 张守节 正义：“言 孝文 稍用文学之士居位。”《三国志·魏志·华歆传》：“若有秀异，可特徵用。” 宋 叶适 《＜归愚翁文集＞序》：“﹝ 郑伯英 ﹞既任 秀州 判官，遂以亲辞，终其身二十餘年不復仕，朝庭亦卒不徵用。”参见“ 徵庸 ”。

2. 引用。

   唐 李匡乂 《资暇集》卷上：“徵舅氏事，必用 渭阳 ，前辈名公，往往亦然。兹失於识，岂可轻相承耶？审诗文当悟，皆不可徵用也。”

3. 国家依法将个人或集体所有的土地或其他生产资料收归公用。如：市政府决定，今后征用农田建房要严格控制。
