1. 离开席位。

   《金瓶梅词话》第四九回：“ 蔡御史 便説：‘深扰一日，酒告止了罢。’因起身出席。” 清 和邦额 《夜谭随录·崔秀才》：“ 刘 乃张筵高会，酒再巡，罢乐，出席，举觴属客。”

2. 犹到会。泛指参加会议或开某会时列于坐席。

   柯岩 《红领巾的歌·我们小队的努力》：“中队召开会议讨论他的问题，可是他－－自然又没出席。” 巴金 《中国人》：“出席聚餐会的人有好几十位。”
