1. 坐位。

   《礼记·文王世子》：“适东序，释奠於先老，遂设三老、五更、羣老之席位焉。”

2. 指位置，岗位。亦用以指会议代表权。

   康有为 《辨革命书》：“盖 欧洲 但求民权自由耳，若君则如一大席位耳，终有人领之，不必其同国也。” 巴金 《探索集·作家》：“这是新的一代作家，他们昂着头走上文学的道路，要坐上自己应有的席位。”

3. 特指议会中的席位，表示当选人数。
