一个人同时具有两个国家的国籍。造成双重国籍的原因主要是各国关于国籍的立法原则不一致，有的采取血统主义（以出生时父母的国籍为标准），有的采取出生地主义（以出生地为标准）。凡采取血统主义国家的公民在采取出生地主义国家生育子女，其子女就取得了两个国家的国籍，即双重国籍。
