战争中用以毒害人 、畜，毁坏植物的化学物质。现代毒剂毒性剧烈，渗透力强，杀伤范围大，作用时间长，但受气候、地 形影响较大，使用有局限性。按毒害作用，一般分神经性毒剂、全身中毒性毒剂、糜烂性毒剂、失能性 毒剂、窒息性毒剂、刺激性毒剂以及植物伤害剂等；按有效杀伤时间，一般分暂时性毒剂和持久性毒剂。使用时可形成气状、烟状、雾状和液滴状。
