木材在隔绝空气的条件下干馏得到的东西，常保留木材原来的形状，质硬，有很多细孔。有黑炭和白炭两种。用作燃料，也用来过滤液体和气体，还可做黑色火药。

1. 木材在不通空气的条件下加热所得到的无定形碳。黑色，质硬，具有很多细孔，可做燃料，也可用于过滤液体和气体，制造黑色火药等。
