也说坍方。地槽、路堑、堤坝、渠道、悬崖等因风化、冲蚀、水浸、渗流、震动等而形成土石方坍塌现象。也指开挖隧道、巷道、矿井时，因土质岩层松软而形成土石方塌落现象（在矿山采矿作业中也叫冒顶）。
