指可溶性岩石特别是碳酸盐类岩石（如石灰岩等）受含有二氧化碳的流水溶蚀，并加上沉积作用而形成的地貌。形状奇特，有洞穴也有峭壁。由亚得里亚海岸的喀斯特（Karst）高地而得名。我国广西、云南、贵州等地多见这种地貌。也叫岩溶。
