急性传染病，病原体是狂犬病病毒，常见于狗、猫等家畜，人或其他家畜被患狂犬病的狗或猫咬伤时也能感染。人患狂犬病时，症状是精神失常，恶心，流涎，看见水就恐惧，肌肉痉挛，呼吸困难，最后全身瘫痪而死亡。也叫恐水病。
