也作讣文。旧时报 丧的通知。一般附死者的生卒年月和经历，以及丧祭的时间地点。

1. 报丧。

   宋 宋庠 《故耀州观察使曹仪可赠节度使制》：“美志未遂，修途已穷；戚自讣闻，实累中惻。” 元 王恽 《王尚书子勉挽辞》：“泪洒行间閲尺书，讣闻三至尚疑虚。”

2. 报丧的文告。旧时讣闻一般于列具死者的职衔、生卒年月、享年若干之后，即将开吊、出丧日期及墓地所在一一通知。五服之内亲属依次具名于末。上述顺序和用语皆有固定程式。也有将死者的行状附在后面的。

   《红楼梦》第十三回：“择准停灵七七四十九日，三日后开丧、送讣闻。”《二十年目睹之怪现状》第二回：“这讣闻居然是大大方方的，期功緦麻，一点也没有弄错。” 萧乾 《一本褪色的相册》二：“他最厌恶白的讣闻和红的喜帖。”
