昆虫，身体小，卵圆形，绿色、黄色或棕色，腹部大。吸食植物的汁液，是农业害虫。种类很多，如棉蚜、烟蚜、高粱蚜等。通称腻虫。

1. 害虫名。通称腻虫。体形似虱，故旧称竹虱。生活在植物的嫩茎嫩叶间，用针状口器刺吸汁液，排泄甘液以养幼虫。种类很多，如棉蚜、麦蚜、高粱蚜、菜蚜、桃蚜、烟蚜等。其排泄的甘液，为蚂蚁所嗜，因而常得蚂蚁保护，故也称蚁牛。
