高等植物体的组成部分之一，主要由细而长的细胞构成，聚集成束状。植物体内的水分、养料等，经维管束输送到各部分去。

1. 高级植物的韧皮部和木质部及其周围紧接着的机械组织所构成的束。分布在植物的根、茎、叶中。其作用为输送水分、养料和支持植物体使之成为统一的整体。
