1. 亦作“ 月台 ”。赏月的露天平台。

   《艺文类聚》卷七八引 南朝 梁元帝 《南岳衡山九贞馆碑》：“上月臺而遗爱，登景云而忘老。” 唐 杜甫 《徐九少尹见过》诗：“赏静怜云竹，忘归步月臺。” 元 李文蔚 《燕青博鱼》第三折：“来到这月臺上，将席子展开，待我睡一觉咱。”《警世通言·崔待诏生死冤家》：“ 秀秀 道：‘你记得当时在月臺上赏月，把我许你，你兀自拜谢，你记得也不记得？’” 清 沉复 《浮生六记·闲情记趣》：“实中有虚者，开门于不通之院，映以竹石，如有实无也；设矮栏干墙头，如上有月臺，而实虚也。”

2. 正房、正殿突出连着前阶的平台。

   《红楼梦》第五三回：“餘者派出等第，一分一分的堆在月臺底下。”《红楼梦》第六二回：“﹝ 寳玉 ﹞出至月臺上，又朝上遥拜过 贾母 、 贾政 、 王夫人 等。”臺，一本作“ 台 ”。 李劼人 《死水微澜》第五部分八：“别有一座较小的殿，踞在一片较高的月台上，那是 观音殿 。再由月台两畔抄进去，又是一殿，三楹有楼，楼下是 斗姆殿 ，楼上是 玉皇阁 。”

3. 站台。火车站上下乘客或装卸货物的高于路面的平台。

   瞿秋白 《饿乡纪程》一：“待车室外月台上却有好些苦力，喘息着。” 朱自清 《背影》：“我看到那边月台的栅栏外有几个卖东西的等着顾客。走到那边月台，须穿过铁道，须跳下去又爬上去。”

4. 见“ 月臺 ”。
