俗称生石灰”。化学式cao。白色固体。碱性强，具腐蚀性。难溶于水。其水溶液在空气中易吸收二氧化碳和水分，生成碳酸钙(白色)。工业上用煅烧石灰石制取，实验室通过灼烧碳酸钙制得。广泛用于建筑、冶金、造纸、玻璃、纯碱、鞣革、制糖等工业中。农业上用于消毒、杀菌、消灭病虫害。
