昆虫。类似蝗虫。体长形，绿色或枯黄色。头尖，呈长圆锥形。后翅大，飞翔时发出声音。后肢长，善跳跃。是农业害虫。

1. 蝗属农业害虫。形似蝗而略小，头呈三角形，善跳跃，常生活在田陇间，吃食稻叶。
