印度的传统宗教。公元8-9世纪，由婆罗门教吸收佛教、耆那教的某些教义，经商羯罗等改革后形成。也称新婆罗门教”。主要经典为《吠陀》等。主要教义仍是善恶有因果、人生有轮回之说。主要教派有湿婆派、毗湿奴派和性力派等。近代以来又相继出现梵社、圣社、罗摩克里希那教会等组织，并传布到世界各地。
