1. 水名。又称“梁沟”、“鸿沟”等。在今 河南省 开封市 西北。

   《史记·秦始皇本纪》：“二十二年， 王賁 攻 魏 ，引 河沟 灌 大梁 。” 清 胡渭 《禹贡锥指·附论历代徙流》：“ 河沟 者， 鸿沟 也。（即《汉志》所谓 狼汤渠 。）据《水经注·阴沟水》 蒗荡渠 在 浚仪县 北。自 王賁 断故渠引水东南出以灌 大梁 ，谓之 梁沟 ……遂目 梁沟 为 蒗荡渠 ，亦曰 鸿沟 。”参阅 北魏 郦道元 《水经注·阴沟水》、《汳水》。

2. 水道。

   《清史稿·河渠志四》：“请自 峪口 起，开河沟一，一直达 汾水 。” 柳青 《铜墙铁壁》第一章：“在一块一块河沟里的阳坪地上，时常看见一家一家婆姨娃娃总动员，在那里打掐棉花。”
