中国哲学史上关于对立统一关系的命题。指统一物的可分性。《老子·四十二章》：“道生一，一生二。”《周易·系辞上》：“易有太极，是生两仪。” 都包含着这一命题的内容。《黄帝内经·太素·知石》：“一分为二，谓天地也。” 明确使用了这一命题。毛泽东说：“一分为二，这是个普遍的现象，这就是辩证法。” 通俗地说明了唯物辩证法关于矛盾普遍性的原理和矛盾分析的方法。
