又称电子射线”。在低压气体放电管中，在强电场作用下正离子以高速撞击阴极，由阴极发出的电子经电场加速后形成的电子流。也可由电子射线管的阴极发出的电子经电场加速后形成。它沿直线前进，能使荧光物质发出荧光，能在变化的电磁场中发生偏折。示波管和显像管等均据其特性制作而成。
