由高纯度(995%)二氧化硅制成的玻璃。分透明与不透明两种。前者以高纯度水晶或四氯化硅为原料，用沉积法制得；后者以纯净石英为原料，用熔融法制得。具有膨胀系数低，耐高温，热稳定性、化学稳定性和电绝缘性好，透紫外、红外线等性质。用以制化学仪器，光学、电学和医疗设备，光导纤维等。

1. 用二氧化矽制成的耐热玻璃。可分为以水晶为原料制成的透明制品和以磬砂、磬石为原料制成的半透明制品二种。可用在耐热器具、水银灯管和光学镜头上。
