汉语拼音：shào lín sì

在河南省登封县少室山北麓五乳峰下。建于公元495年。527年，古印度高僧菩提达摩来寺，传授佛教禅宗，遂成禅宗祖庭。唐初最盛时有房屋五千多间。现存山门、客堂、达摩亭、千佛殿和东西配殿。寺西塔林，有墓塔二百三十余座，是中国最大的塔群。唐以后，僧人常习武艺，以少林派拳术著称。
