1. 商店房屋朝街的部分；店面。

   元 郑廷玉 《看钱奴》第四折：“自家店小二的便是，开开门面，挑起望子，看有甚么人来。”《恨海》第七回：“米铺子的门面，开在前面大街上。” 陈登科 《活人塘》一：“街上的店铺，新换上门面，挂起招牌。”

2. 指一般房屋大门口的外表。

   清 李渔 《巧团圆·惊妪》：“这一所门面高大，定是箇乡宦人家。” 朱自清 《旅欧杂记·威尼斯》：“但这两溜房子都是三层，都有许多拱门，恰与教堂的门面与圆顶相称。”《人民日报》1991.2.8：“军事教育学院是一所兵团级高等学府，而‘门面’却很寒酸。四根立柱，两排铁扇门。”

3. 犹场面，局面。

4. 面子；体面。

   《二刻拍案惊奇》卷十四：“到官对理，出乖露丑，也是你的门面不雅。”《红楼梦》第一○六回：“若是统总算起来，连王爷家还不够过的呢！不过是装着门面，过到那里是那里罢咧。” 郭沫若 《我的童年》第一篇一：“但土著只 杨 姓一家略略有点门面，其他差不多都是一些破落户。”

5. 虚饰；表面应付。

   《二刻拍案惊奇》卷三三：“这富家子虽与 杨抽马 相好，只是见他兴头有术，门面撮哄而已。” 清 黄宗羲 《复秦灯岩书》：“此亦先生门面之言。”

6. 指布幅的宽度。

   俞赞 《恤商论》：“若夫洋布，名为利用，实则价贱而质脆，一无可取……故门面虽阔，价值虽贱，而彼此相较，不如土产甚远。”
