   南朝 宋 鲍照 《登大雷岸与妹书》：“东顾 五洲 之隔，西眺九派之分。” 钱振伦 注：“《水经注》：‘ 江 水又东逕 軑县 故城南，城在山之阳，南对 五洲 也。 江 中有五州相接，故以 五洲 为名。 宋孝武 举兵 江州 ，建牙洲上，有紫云荫之，即是洲也。’”一说此“ 五洲 ”疑指“ 五湖 ”而言。见 钱仲联 补注。
