喷涌而出的泉水。由承压地下水在低于承压水位的地方，沿裂隙排出地表而形成。

1. 由地下喷射出地面的泉水。

   《说郛》卷四二引 宋 韩拙 《山水纯全集·论水》：“湍而漱石者谓之涌泉，山石间有水泽泼而仰沸者谓之喷泉。”

2. 指喷水的泉眼。

3. 特指用以美化环境的人工喷水设备。
