1. 传说 春秋 吴王 阖庐 使 干将 铸剑，铁汁不下，其妻 莫邪 自投炉中，铁汁乃出，铸成二剑。雄剑名干将，雌剑名莫邪。事见 汉 赵晔 《吴越春秋·阖闾内传》、 唐 陆广微 《吴地记·匠门》。后因用作宝剑名。

   《荀子·性恶》：“ 闔閭 之干将、莫邪、鉅闕、辟閭，此皆古之良剑也。”《史记·屈原贾生列传》：“世谓 伯夷 贪兮，谓 盗跖 廉；莫邪为顿（钝）兮，铅刀为銛。” 裴駰 集解引 应劭 曰：“ 莫邪 ， 吴 大夫也，作寳剑，因以冠名。” 宋 何薳 《春渚纪闻·丁晋公石子砚》：“中剖之为二砚，亟送其一，公得之喜甚。报书云：‘砚应有二，何为留一自奉，得无効 雷丰城 之留莫邪否？此非终合之物也。’”
