一种植物激素。即β吲哚乙酸”。在根、茎等尖端产生，幼叶、花芽、幼嫩果实中也有。只能从植物体上端向下端运输传导。可促进芽和茎的生长、生根及果实的发育。一般低浓度促进生长，高浓度则抑制生长甚至会杀死植物。
