焦油沥青，是焦油蒸馏后的残余物。也泛指沥青。

1. 柏树之脂。可入药。

   明 李时珍 《本草纲目·木一·柏》﹝附方﹞引 陆氏 积德堂方：“黄水溼疮：真柏油二两，香油二两，熬稠搽之，如神。”

2. 炼焦的副产品或原油经分馏后剩下的黑色胶状物。也有天然产的。可作防水、防腐和绝缘材料，亦用以铺路面。也称沥青。
