又称海岭”、海底山脉”。大洋底部狭而长的高地。如大西洋海脊，长达数千千米。两侧坡度较陡。一般在海面以下，有的峰顶露出海面，形成断续分布的岛屿，如阿留申群岛、琉球群岛等。
