1. 用反问的语气表示不必。

   《左传·襄公三十一年》：“年钧择贤，义钧则卜，古之道也。非适嗣，何必娣之子？” 三国 魏 嵇康 《秀才答》诗之三：“都邑可优游，何必栖山原？”《朱子语类》卷一一六：“若既知悔，后次改便了，何必常常恁地悔！” 巴金 《灭亡》第十章：“你还有很长的时间，又何必急急于一时呢？”

2. 用反问的语气表示未必。

   唐 段成式 《酉阳杂俎·语资》：“ 歷城 房家园 ， 齐 博陵君 豹 之山池，其中杂树森竦，泉石崇邃……公语参军 尹孝逸 曰：‘昔 季伦 金谷 山泉，何必踰此？’” 唐 张祜 《题孟处士宅》诗：“高才何必贵？下位不妨贤。”
