〈名〉落叶大乔木，叶大，卵形或椭圆形，表面粗糙，花白色或蓝色，核果略成球形。木材坚硬，纹理美观，耐腐蚀，用来造船、车、家具、也供建筑用。原产于印度、印度尼西亚等地，我国台湾、广东南部、云南南部有栽培。
