消化器官之一。消化道的最后肠段。成人的大肠约长15米。分为盲肠、结肠和直肠三部分，出口处为肛门。具有分泌黏液、吸收食物残渣中的水分、形成和排出粪便的功能。

1. 肠的一部分，上连小肠，下通肛门，较小肠粗而短。分盲肠、结肠、直肠三部分。主要作用是吸取水分和形成粪便。中医列为六腑之一。
