鼻音 [bí yīn]

1. 发音时，口腔的气流通路阻塞，软颚和小舌下垂，气流改从鼻腔逸出，即成为鼻音。国音中的鼻音有ㄇ、ㄋ。鼻音为塞音的鼻音化，故也称为「鼻破裂音」；又因气流在口腔中受到阻塞，而在鼻腔中自由通过，故也称为「塞通音」。
