旧指封建帝王的赏 赐。今指出于怜悯而给予的施舍（多含贬义）。

1. 朝廷的赏赐。

   《后汉书·安成孝侯赐传》：“﹝帝﹞时幸其第，恩赐特异。” 宋 王安石 《次韵冲卿除日立春》：“恩赐随嘉节，无功祗自尘。”《儒林外史》第三五回：“﹝ 庄徵君 ﹞又写了一道恳求恩赐还山的本，从通政司送了进去。”

2. 泛指施予，施舍。

   《水浒传》第十九回：“ 吴用 向前称谢道：‘夜来重蒙恩赐，拜扰不当。’” 杨朔 《春子姑娘》：“你处理 春子 的问题，完全抱着恩赐观点。”
